Wipe insides of medicine cabinets

The inside of your medicine cabinets is a place that gets neglected in terms of cleaning. With so many toiletries, personal care products, and medicines stored there, it is important to periodically clear the shelves and do a quick wipe down to keep the cabinets clean.

How to clean your medicine cabinet

The first thing to do is to remove all the items from the cabinet.  Take a sponge and cleaning solution to wipe down all the shelves, sides and back of the cabinet.  Next, you will want to wipe down all the individual bottles and items.

Perhaps the most important part is to review each items expiration date and throw those out.  For any prescription drugs, you should take a black marker and scratch out your name and other personal information on the bottle.  You should also check with your local disposal company on their recommended way to dispose of these drugs.

Here is a brief video from Howcast on cleaning the cabinet.
